Tibumana Waterfalls

Tibumana Waterfalls are the easiest to find of all the waterfalls in Ubud. This is great news for those less familiar with exploring nature in this style. The waterfalls themselves are not too big, but they cascade down into a clear pool that’s perfect for swimming. As you walk to the falls, you can take in the lush greenery of the area. It seems like a great place for those who want to explore the variety of waterfalls in Ubud, but may not have the energy to walk long distances.

Tibumana is a great waterfall to visit year-round. But, if you visit during the monsoon season, you’ll get to see two streams flowing down, creating a mesmerizing twin waterfall! Since Tibumana is one of the most popular waterfalls near Ubud, it’s a good idea to come early in the morning to skip the crowds.

Sumampan Waterfalls

Located just south of Ubud in the tiny village of Sumampan, Sumampan Waterfall offers so much more than just pretty views. Sumampan waterfalls get through into several dreamy pools before merging into a large pond that feeds a nearby river. If you want to swim, lounge, or just soak up the beauty, this is the place. If you want to get a massage without any distractions, scramble up the rocks! This popular Bali waterfall is frequented by relatively few tourists.

Kanto Lampo Waterfalls

The Kanto Lampo waterfall in Ubud is unlike any other waterfall in Bali. It runs down a rocky cliff, breaking up as it goes, unlike other waterfalls, which are impossible and even dangerous to get under. It is the best part to get directly under the water. To get directly under the fall, you can hike up a couple of rocks and take a natural shower in a flowing stream of water. It takes 20 minutes to get there from Ubud. Many tourists either rent a scooter and explore all the waterfalls and tourist spots in and around Ubud, or rent a car with a driver for the day. This is a great alternative, as the driver will know where to take you and when to go to avoid the crowds. It is best to go early in the morning to avoid crowds at Kanto Lampo Waterfall, one of Ubud’s most popular waterfalls.

Tukad Cepung Waterfalls

One of Ubud’s most remarkable hidden gems is Tukad Cepung Waterfall. It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Ubud. Tukad Cepung flows down a rock wall, creating a water veil. It takes about 15 minutes to reach the falls from the parking area. An extra-special addition happens at a certain time. Between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., an amazing light beam appears above the falls, producing a more magical scene! However, swimming in the Tukad Cepung pool is not allowed, but it’s a great place to scramble over the rocks and explore the canyon. The serenity of this amazing Ubud waterfall can be best experienced as early as possible.

Leke Leke Waterfalls

The beauty of Leke Leke, one of Bali’s stunning waterfalls, is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque you will ever see. You can reach this 15-meter-tall, narrow waterfall by car from Ubud in about an hour. It’s set in the verdant jungles north of Ubud, and it’s the perfect destination to spend a couple of hours immersed in nature. It offers amazing scenery and is a little further away from other waterfalls on this Ubud waterfalls list, but you will find it well worth the extra miles. 

A short 15-minute walk (based on your fitness level) from the car park is required to reach Leke Leke Waterfall. You might want to prepare to get sweaty when you return, since there are a lot of steps to climb. Despite the fact that it’s a beginner-friendly hike, you may consider taking a picture at any of the amazing photo opportunities along the way. On the other hand, it’s a really beautiful hike with a lot of pictures. You may also want to check out the small waterfall nearby or swing on the cool swing!
