Most importantly, is to wear Sarong and Sash, fo men can optionally wear udeng. But this is not mandatory for visitors, big temples might provide Sarong and Sash for either rental or free. Its best to bring your own Sarong and Sash since its easy to find in a Balinese traditional clothes store and avoid costing an extra penny whenever visiting the temple for a rental Sarong and Sash.

What are some common pieces of traditional Balinese clothes?

The most common piece of traditional Balinese attire is the sarong or ‘kamben’. The sarong is woven in intricate patterns and colors. Both men and women wear the sarong.
